Fern Britton is making a comeback to This Morning! The loveable TV star previously co-presented the daytime programme alongside current host Phillip Schofield over a 10 year stint, before leaving back in 2009 to pursue new projects. However, after eight years away, she is set to make a return to the sofa. On Thursday, Fern will appear alongside her husband Phil Vickery, the show’s resident chef, to discuss ITV's new cooking programme, Culinary Genius. And while she won’t be reuniting with her former co-presenter, who is currently on a well-deserved Easter break, the 59-year-old will chat to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about the show, which will also see celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Rosemary Shrager and Jean Christophe Novelli feature throughout the series.

Fern is coming back to This Morning!
Culinary Genius will see nine amateur cooks facing a culinary battle in a ring-style studio, with a different professional chef presiding over the kitchen each week. Gordon will kick off the series, and said in a statement: "Culinary Genius is an amazing format that just got elevated to another level with the involvement of these fantastic British chefs as judges and Fern as host," adding, "I'm excited for the viewers and contestants to be a part of the Culinary Genius Arena."
Fern also enthused about being part of the new high-drama show, admitting she was having a blast working on the project. "I am a huge fan of cookery shows and this one adds an extra level of energy and learning," she admitted. "To be working with Gordon, Rosemary, Jean-Christophe and Phil is just great! Is it possible to have too much fun?"
This is not the first time Fern and Phil will have worked together on a cooking show. In fact, the couple, who got married in 2000, first met while staring on Ready Steady Cook back in the 90s. The pair welcomed a daughter, Winnie, back in 2001, while Fern has three other children from a previous marriage, twin sons Jack and Harry, and another daughter, Grace.
