The Hollywood actor, 55, took to his Twitter page over the weekend to share a picture of himself, looking barely recognisable as he sported an unkempt beard. In the snap, the superstar is seen smiling towards the camera lens as he cuddles up to an adorable bunny rabbit. "Happy Easter or Passover or whatever reason you can find to feel warm and fuzzy," he wrote in the caption.
Fans were quick to reveal their surprise over Jim's drastic transformation with one writing: "I went on google and searched Jim Carrey 2017 I legitimately didn't believe he had a beard." Another remarked: "Er Jim are you auditioning for the lead on 'The Last Man On Earth' season 4." One follower shared: "I had to look at this picture for five minutes before my brain understood that this was Jim Carrey."

It has been a difficult few years for the star, who lost his former girlfriend Cathriona White in September 2015. The couple dated on-and-off for three years between 2012 and 2015, and the actor was completely devastated by her death. In a statement released shortly after the news broke, he said: "She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and everyone that loved and cared for her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
