Victoria Beckham has said she felt "honoured and humbled" to receive her OBE. The former Spice Girl was awarded the honour from Prince William during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. Victoria, who was accompanied by her husband David and her parents Jacqueline and Anthony, looked chic in a floor-length black dress from her own label which she teamed with burgundy heels.

Victoria, 43, was being recognised for her services to the fashion industry and her 17-year career. After the ceremony she said: "It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I'm proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge. If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things. I'm so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband; without their love and support, none of this would be possible."

Victoria's husband David received his OBE from the Queen in 2003 for services to football. Earlier this year, the former England football captain released a statement saying that his alleged leaked emails, which criticised the honours system, were "doctored". The alleged emails expressed anger over having missed out on a knighthood. However David's statement read: "This story is based on outdated material taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server and gives a deliberately inaccurate picture."
