The one that got away! Kate Beckinsale took to her Instagram account to share a hilarious keepsake from her childhood. The Underworld actress revealed that she had a major crush on actor Rob Lowe by posting a NSFW postcard that she supposedly received from the heart-throb when she was younger. The card addressing Kate read: "Dear Kate yes I will marry you. See you soon. love Rob Lowe."

Alongside the image of Rob’s throwback headshot and postcard, the 43-year-old actress wrote, “EITHER I was a really tragic 13 year old with time on my hands OR Rob Lowe was all kinds of casual proposing marriage via a postcard of himself ,signing his last name AND drawing a d-ck instead of using a stamp .(found at my mum's house).” However it appears Kate might have written that letter to herself as evidenced by the inappropriate doodle on the corner. The Serendipity star has previously admitted that she enjoys drawing phallic-shaped doodles.

Needless to say, the teen’s romance with The Grinder star never blossomed. Instead, Kate dated Michael Sheen, whom she shares 18-year-old daughter Lily with, for eight years before they split in 2003. A year later the mom-of-one tied the knot with film director Len Wiseman, though he filed for divorce in 2016. Meanwhile Rob went on to marry his wife Sheryl Berkoff in 1991. The couple have since welcomed two sons — John, 22, and Matthew, 20 — together.
