Blake Lively has opened up about why she stopped googling herself, admitting that when she used to do it she would always end up feeling depressed. Chatting to Variety for its Power of Women issue, she explained: "I have [Googled myself] before and it's just ended in full depression. So I think it's a good rule of thumb not to Google yourself because the Internet is not nice."

Blake opened up about why she has stopped googling herself
The mother-of-two has previously opened up about protecting her two daughters – James and Ines – from unrealistic beauty standards, telling Refinery29: "What little girls are seeing isn't what [these celebrities] look like when they wake up in the morning — even though it's no less beautiful. There's this awareness of what they're going to be exposed to and what they grow up seeing. For me, it's important for my daughters to know that it's not real life. They're seeing me dressed up in all this hair and makeup, but they also see me without that. I want them to see both sides, because there is never just one side."

Blake and Ryan share two children
The Gossip Girl actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds made a rare appearance with their two children back in December, and the Deadpool actor jokily opened up about the two girls and how he dreads flying with them. "I would rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children," he said during an appearance on Good Morning America. "I've always had empathy for parents especially like [during] flying… Before I had kids, I was always like, 'God, that's hard.' You can see [the parents are] sweating and they're nervous because their kids are yelling and everyone's mad at them… At two years old, they just have to rip all their clothes off and introduce themselves to everyone on the plane."
