Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon recently branded fellow judge Simon Cowell "an annoying big brother", but it seems the singer actually has a soft spot for her boss. Speaking from Disneyland Paris, where the star jetted to with forty deserving youngsters, Alesha revealed the reason why Simon could never be compared to a Disney Villain. "He's actually a big softy and he has a really big heart," she said.

The 38-year-old took a break from BGT to spend a fabulous day at the magical resort with children and adults from three London charities and her daughter, Azura, who didn't want to miss out on the fun. "It was a lovely day for all involved. I especially loved chatting to the children, they were very sweet. Azura had a fabulous day too."

"It's absolutely amazing being at Disneyland Paris – seeing everyone's faces and everyone is so excited to be here and there is something really genuine about it. I can't believe it has been 25 years – where has the time gone – they have gone from strength to strength and it feels good being here as it is such a special place," said the star.

She continued: "The charities are incredible and the children that I have met so far have been so sweet. I'm so happy for them for a lot of them it is their first time – they are going through certain things in their life that and the fact that they get to come here and have fun and let go of all of that and just be kids is lovely and it has been a real pleasure to meet all of them."

The former MIS-TEEQ singer, also shared some inspirational advice for children on how they can achieve their own personal goals and develop their own talents. "The most important thing is self belief. Never be afraid of hard work and when things don't work out for any particular reason try and learn from it and become stronger as a result. The power of your attitude towards something will usually determine the outcome".

This is the fourth year that British Airways and Disneyland Paris have teamed up to organise a day trip direct from the Docklands and this year it was children from Body and Soul, Fight for Peace and Oasis Children's Venture who joined the fun. All three charities are supported by Flying Start, British Airways' global charity partnership with Comic Relief. Since the partnership began in 2010 the airline has raised more than £14.5 million to help sick and disadvantaged children around the world.
