Olympic champions Laura and Jason Kenny were honoured at Buckingham Palace, on Tuesday. The couple, who are expecting their first child together, received their CBE accolades from Princess Anne after winning a string of gold medals for Great Britain. Laura, 25, told Press Association that she "felt honoured" to receive the award alongside her partner. "I almost feel like I don't deserve it", she said. "There's service people and it's such a huge honour, but I feel like all I do is ride a bike."
She added: "It's actually nice - me and Jason are spending a lot more time together. We're doing things we never really did, like going down to my parents' house, for example." The expectant sports star later took to her Instagram page to share a picture of the pair, and in the caption she gushed: "What a wonderful day collecting our CBE's together."
EXCLUSIVE: Laura Kenny talks baby's gender and nesting with husband Jason
The golden couple of cycling, who met in 2008 following the Beijing Olympics, announced their baby news in February - just five months after they tied the knot. In a statement to HELLO! Online, the couple's agent Luke Lloyd-Davies said: "I can confirm that Laura Kenny is indeed pregnant and that she, Jason and their respective families are absolutely thrilled and delighted with the news. They very much appreciate all the kind wishes and messages of support that they have already received." Jason, 28, meanwhile, made a light-hearted reference to his wife’s pregnancy on Twitter. Alongside a cartoon picture of a flyer about pregnancy titled 'So You've Ruined Your Life', he wrote: "I wondered why this leaflet came through the post."

And in an exclusive chat with HELLO!, Laura recently opened up about her excitement about the prospect of becoming a first-time mother. "For the first three months I was constantly questioning being pregnant, I would think, 'is this really happening?' Because until you see it it's hard to believe almost. So seeing it was a huge milestone but feeling it kick..." she said.
