Dax Shepard has posted a funny tribute to his wife Kristen Bell. Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, the 42-year-old uploaded a hilarious picture of the pair sharing a kiss during a swimming session with dolphins. In the caption, the actor cheekily wrote: "This was nearly 10 years ago. I often wonder if I chose correctly. The dolphin's not on Facebook, so it's hard to know for sure."

The Hollywood couple, who are proud parents to two daughters, have been together since 2007 and they married six years later. In 2015, Dax opened up about his relationship with the 36-year-old actress, claiming he was blown away with Kristen's positive attitude. "We have such different backgrounds, it's comical," he told Good Housekeeping. "When I met her and her friends, I was suspicious of their unbridled happiness. I thought, 'Something stinks here; they're in a cult.' But slowly I began to see her positive way of looking at the world. She gives people the benefit of the doubt."

The stars have recently finished filming new movie CHiPS. And in an interview last month, Kristen admitted that she found it slightly difficult working opposite her partner. "It was hard to be mean to him because my character is his estranged, trophy wife... and it was difficult because I do really… he’s so endearing, and I like him so much," the mother-of-two told Good Morning America. She added: "From an actor's perspective I was like, 'Hmm, I'll take the 15 times he's really annoyed me in our last 10 years [together] and I'll put those all into a Coke bottle, pop a Mentos in there, shake it up and then that will be Karen.'"

Meanwhile, Dax - who also directed and wrote the film - confessed that he wasn't initially sure whether to cast his wife or not. He said: "I did not want her to play the role because my wife in the movie is a terrible human being, and my wife is such a wonderful [one]. So she plays a real jerk and I didn't think of her naturally, but she read it and thought it was funny so she wanted to do it. And she’s the boss, so she did it."
