President Donald Trump took to his Twitter page to share a sweet birthday message to his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, as she turned 47 on Wednesday. The 45th President of the United States, 70, posted a picture of the couple from his inauguration this year, and in the caption, he wrote: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our @FLOTUS, Melania!"

Twitter followers went in droves to react to the President's message, with one remarking: "Odd photo choice, as the camera is focused on you, Mr. President." Another shared: "Trump on a serious note you could refer to her as your beautiful wife, love of your life, etc when saying Happy Birthday.. she's not just FL." Another tweeter enquired: "Does the flag in this photo have only 39 stars? Just curious which states are not included?"

Despite the funny reactions, many were quick to wish Melania a happy birthday. "Happy Birthday, best wishes to the birthday girl, to the prettiest first Lady ever," said one, while another remarked: "Happy Birthday love you so much thank you for taking care of the president for us you are so Blessed." [sic] One follower wrote: "Happy Birthday to our beautiful, classy and smart @FLOTUS! We you! Please don't be discouraged by all the haters...they do not matter." Another said: "Happy Birthday, First Lady Melania....May you be blessed with many, many more!!"

Although she is based in New York, the mother-of-one spent her birthday in Washington D.C. as she attended the Senate spouses luncheon at the National Gallery of Art. Earlier this year, Melania confirmed that she will relocate to Washington, D.C. after her son Barron Trump finishes the academic year in New York. "Mrs. Trump will be moving to D.C. and settling into the White House at the end of the school year, splitting her time between New York and D.C. in the meantime," the first lady’s senior advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff previously said. "Mrs. Trump is honored to serve this country and is taking the role and responsibilities of the First Lady very seriously."
