Lisa Faulkner will be making her debut appearance as new character Fi Browning on EastEnders tonight! The actress, who is married to MasterChef judge John Torode, shared her excitement on Twitter, writing: "I love you Johno" after her husband tweeted: "Tonight's the night… 7.30 @bbceastenders. Lisa tweeted about her excitement
Lisa, who is also a cookbook author, opened up about her new role in an interview with Metro, saying: "I told my daughter I got the part and she said to me, 'It's gonna be really annoying now you're in EE because that means people at school will know who you are. I'm going to let her watch bits of it. It's difficult because EastEnders tackles some really hard subjects. Sometimes as a mother you go, 'I would like to talk about this subject first before you watch it and ask questions.' She's ten so it's all tricky. You can never hide children from anything and I would never do that, so she can watch it."

Lisa will star as Fi Browning
Lisa's storyline has been kept tightly under wraps, with the BBC simply claiming that she will "immediately get on the wrong side of one family", but pictures have been released that show her character Fi arriving in Walford. Executive producer Sean O'Connor said: "I’m really thrilled that we have been able to tempt Lisa Faulkner back to TV drama and back to the BBC. She’s an extremely accomplished and hugely popular actress and we're very excited to have her in Albert Square. Fi Browning is something of a departure for EastEnders; a no-nonsense but sophisticated business woman with strength and vulnerability. But does she have an agenda? And who - or what- has she set her sights on?"
