Janet Jackson has opened up about separating from her husband Wissam Al Mana for the first time, and confirmed that she is resuming her world tour. In a video posted to her Twitter account, the star said: "This message was supposed to be about something else but I'll get to that in a minute - I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes I separated from my husband. We are in court, and the rest is in God's hands."

She then confirmed that she would be going back on tour, but has changed the name to 'State of the World'. "It's not about politics, it’s about people, the world, relationships and just… love," she explained. "I want to thank you guys, for your patience, for all of your support throughout the years. I cannot wait to see you on stage September 7." Fans were quick to praise the singer's announcement, with one writing: "MY QUEEN!!! I cannot WAIT to finally see you live! I have tears streaming down my face," while another added: "Yay!!!! You are glowing....and as beautiful as ever. We are holding you in love and prayer always!"

The Love Will Never Do singer also opened up about her baby boy, who was born back in January. The proud mum said: "Hey you guys, it's me Jan, just in case you don't recognise me because I have put on quite a few since having the baby… but I thank god for him you guys, he's so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby." She also recently shared her first snap of her baby son on Instagram, writing: "My baby and me after nap time."
