Nick Knowles and his ex-wife Jessica were reunited at the weekend as they spent the bank holiday with their son Eddie. The pair, who split last year, visited their friends the Earl and Countess Bathurst on their estate in Cirencester, where Eddie was able to run around freely and enjoy the great outdoors. Despite their idyllic country meet-up, Jessica has insisted that she and Nick are not back together, and reflected on how she and the DIY SOS presenter have remained on good terms.
Posting in her HELLO! Online blog, she wrote: "When Gwyneth and Chris announced they were 'consciously uncoupling' I had no idea what they meant (still don't), it's just a posh way of saying you're getting a divorce. I do, however, like the concept behind it – if I'm understanding it correctly. I THINK the concept is to remain as amicable and considerate during your separation as possible and to always prioritise your children.

"Although it's not always possible to stay on friendly terms, I am lucky to say that Nick and I have been able to (and no, Lorraine, we aren't getting back together! She asked me last week when she interviewed me – she was rooting for us). It does make life a lot simpler when you are able to let go of anger and animosity and, instead of focusing on what is lacking in your life, focus on celebrating what you do have. Eddie is top of my list followed, hopefully, by good health!"

Jessica, who has battled cervical cancer, married Nick in 2012. The couple split in January 2016 and attempted a brief reconciliation after Jessica was diagnosed with cancer in the summer; they split again in December. Remaining as positive as ever, Jessica has admitted that she would date again if she finds the right person. Speaking to chat show host Lorraine Kelly last week, she said: "I think right person, right time. I'm still young but it would have to be someone pretty cool because being a single mum is different to being a single woman. So I kind of have a bit more to think about but maybe the right person, who knows!"
