Katy Perry took to Twitter on Wednesday to share the very exciting news that she will be taking a ride in James Corden's famous car later this month, appearing on The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special. Writing: “Ready for this ride!!,” to her fans, the 32-year-old shared a link to the show’s own announcement, which read: “Carpool Karaoke with @KatyPerry is coming Monday, May 22! Get all the KatyCarpool deets here..” And it isn’t just Katy who will be starring in the episode, but another pop sensation - Jennifer Lopez is set to feature too. Throughout the special, fans will also be treated to a montage of some of James’ favourite footage over the last year.

Katy will be taking a musical ride with James Corden as part of a special show
Katy is the latest in a stream of stars who have joined James in his musical car. Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Sir Elton John, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Take That and Michelle Obama have all taken part. Most recently, the show saw former Spice Girl turned-fashion-designer Victoria Beckham take a ride. The mother-of-four teamed up with the chat show host to make their own trailer for a reboot of the 1980s movie Mannequin in hilarious scenes, while once inside the car together, the pair sang and danced along to the 1997 Spice Girls hit track, Spice Up Your Life.
James Corden made a very exciting announcement last month
Last month, James Corden delighted fans by announcing his plans to bring the popular show to the UK. Speaking about the upcoming episodes, James said: "To bring 'The Late Late Show' to the UK is a dream come true for me. I'm incredibly proud of the show and we're going to do our best to make this week in London memorable." The episodes, which will air in early June, will be filmed at Westminster Central Hall. The show host recently took Take That for a spin around L.A. for the incredibly popular Carpool Karaoke segment for a Comic Relief special. Speaking about their car ride, James said: "For me as a Take That fan to be here in this car is unreal for me."
