And his girlfriend's mother was quick to give her seal of approval, commenting: "Glowing, smiling, looking health and equal love. Mama is happy XO."
At the event, the duo appeared totally smitten, keeping close as they cuddled on the carpet. Selena, 24, oozed elegance in an off-white Coach gown, which highlighted her lean and slender frame perfectly. Meanwhile, The Weeknd, 27, cut a handsome figure in a smart black tie attire.

The couple started dating late last year, but news of their romance broke in January. Selena and The Weeknd were photographed kissing outside a restaurant in Italy as they waited for their cars. An insider told E! News: "They were there for three hours! Just the two of them. They came out and were so happy." After photos were published on TMZ, the Canadian artist's ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid, whom he split from in November, was quick to unfollow Selena on Instagram.
