Michelle Heaton inspired women across the country on Wednesday when she stepped out in the Loose Women studios in nothing but a bikini. The mother-of-two bravely displayed her hysterectomy and C-section scars to the panellists, live audience and viewers at home in a bid to promote body confidence – something she had previously been too self-conscious to ever consider. After receiving much-deserved praise from fans across social media, it seems that the stunning 37-year-old has found new courage. Posting a video of herself sinking into a cool pool at Champneys spa sporting a fashionable black and white bikini, fans were quick to praise her. “So proud of you.. amazing lady /mum.. Should see you on our screens more,” wrote one, while another said: “Love your bikini.. where's it from?? X” Other complimented her for her toned physique, “Please can you do a YouTube workouts for a week for us! You’re looking too good!!! I need inspiration x.”

During Wednesday’s show, Michelle was visibly shaking as she talked the panel through her scars from her two C-sections - one of which was an emergency when she welcomed her first daughter, five-year-old Faith - as well as her double mastectomy and hysterectomy scars. “I’ve kept these C-section and hysterectomy scars between me and my husband – until today,” the former Liberty X singer revealed, adding: “Normally I would wear a high waist bikini or a swimsuit.”

Michelle helped to promote body confidence on Loose Women

Michelle made the brave decision to have a double mastectomy in November 2012 after being diagnosed with a mutated BRCA gene. Following her son Aaron's arrival, she also had her ovaries removed as a preventative measure against cancer. "I'd decided to have a hysterectomy once our son was born. It sounds drastic but I knew that it would reduce my chances of having ovarian cancer and ultimately allow me to be there for my kids later in life,” she told The Express.
