Taylor Swift has broken her social media silence by posting an Instagram snap supporting the girl band Haim, who she is good friends with. The We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together star shared a screenshot of her phone playing their new single Want You Back, writing: "On.Repeat.Til.The.End.Of.Time."

The star's fans immediately replied to the post, with one writing: "It's been a LONG time, miss you," while another added: "I'm so excited for new album. Can't wait Tay."

According to sources, Taylor has been out of the spotlight as she is "busy working on her upcoming album" in Nashville. An insider told ET: "[She] is trying to figure out if she wants her album to be more pop or country, she’s planning to release the album this year… She comes here to get away from the paparazzi."

Ed Sheeran is a good friend of Taylor's, and previously suggested that she would be bringing out new music at the end of the year, telling MTV: "Taylor isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year—Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records."

Speaking of their friendship, he told Rolling Stone: "I was on the most amazing... tour in the world. I was just living in a country that I didn't belong in, in a town I didn't really know anyone. She would be there if everything ended for me. Taylor is kind of an anomaly in that sense. She's omnipresent because she's the most famous woman in the world, so she can't make the decision to not be in the press.”
