Declan Donnelly posted a photo of himself and his Dachshund dog Rocky to thank supervet Noel Fitzpatrick for making him well again. Rocky looked happy and well in Dec's arms outside the veterinary, and the Saturday Night Takeaway presenter captioned the photo: "HUGE thanks to Noel @supervet_nf and the whole team at @fitzpatrick_referrals for fixing our Rocky. We are in awe of the amazing and groundbreaking work you do every single day to save and fix our beloved pets. We are so happy to have him home. Thank you. #Supervet #daschund #daschundsofinstagram #doglove #thankyou."

Dec and his best friend and presenting partner Anthony McPartlin got dogs at the same time, joking that it would give them an excuse to take them for walks and escape to the pub. Dec said: "We had a bit of time off last summer so we thought it would be good to get dogs and spend time with them while they were puppies. Now are dogs are best mates… It's nice because we've got the excuse that we need to take the dogs for a walk now and then we stop for a pint." Ant joked: "It's funny because mine's a chocolate lab… and his is a Dachshund called Rocky. The size different is ridiculous. Your dog could walk under my dog and not get wet. They are best friends. God aye, they love each other. I can't walk past his house now without Hurley pulling me off to try and go in."
