Shania Twain has finally revealed why she says Brad Pitt's name in her hit song, That Don't Impress Me Much, telling Billboard that it was after she saw leaked snaps of the actor in Playgirl magazine. The singer said: "I remember I had a girlfriend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him [in Playgirl magazine], and this was like all the rage. I just thought, 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.' I'm like, 'Well that don't impress me much.'"

She added: "I mean what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day. That's really what I thought. I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy." The lyrics from the famous song read: "Oh-oo-oh, so you think you're something special/ Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else/ Okay, so you're Brad Pitt/ That don't impress me much/ So you got the looks but have you got the touch."

Shania has recently opened up about her secret battle with Lyme disease, which left her unable to perform. She told the Sun: "I lost my voice for several years and I could speak but I couldn't yell. I could never yell for my dog or my son or whatever. I also felt that I was never going to make another album — that was probably my truth. It was devastating. I really grieved about that. It did bring me down and I struggled with it every day."
