Since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt last September, the actress has kept a low profile, concentrating on her career and children. Now the star has given a rare interview to The Telegraph to promote her new movie First They Killed My Father. Speaking openly about life as a single mum, Angelina revealed: “It’s been difficult. I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard."

Angelina also spoke about the toll the past year has had on her. She said: "Emotionally it’s been a very difficult year and I have had some other health issues. So my health is something I have to monitor." The star famously had a double mastectomy and oophorectomy (removal of ovaries), and recently told Vanity Fair of a condition she suffers from called Bell’s palsy, which causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face.
