Tina O'Brien is now the proud mum of a nine-year-old! The Coronation Street actress, who shares daughter Scarlett with former Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas, marked her little girl's special day in the sweetest of ways. Taking to Instagram, the mother-of-two posted a throwback photo of her with a newborn Scarlett, which she accompanied with a heartfelt message, where she asked her daughter to "hold my hand for a few more years." It read: "Happy 9th Birthday Scarlett Where does the time go? My darling girl. You were born at 8.31am after I woke up in labour at 5am. The clocks had gone back the night before, winter was drawing in. I'll never forget seeing you for the first time and feeling like I already knew you."

Continuing, Tina wrote: " You looked exactly like I imagined. But you've always surprised me with your personality. You're so sassy and witty I adore your humour. You have such wonderful empathy for others and a gentle caring nature.
"I love you and I'm so very proud of you. I can't wait to watch the woman you'll become one day. But for now please hold my hand for a few more years and tell me I'm your best friend when we cuddle in bed. We can't stop time but we can appreciate and hold on to the moments that mean the most xxx," she added.

Tina's Coronation Street co-stars, including Lucy Fallon, who plays her onscreen daughter Bethany Platt, were quick to send Scarlett their well wishes: "Beautiful. Happy birthday Scarlett" she wrote. Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster added: "I've nearly cried!! Happy birthday S."

Scarlett's dad Ryan also marked her special day over on his own Instagram account. The actor, who is currently residing in Australia while filming Neighbours, shared a photo of the pair on a beach, which he captioned: "Happy 9th birthday Scarlett, our first ever birthday apart makes this so much harder being the other side of the world. Love you my angel."
Ryan and Tina were in a relationship from 2003 to 2009, and met on the Coronation Street set. In the ITV soap, their characters Sarah Platt and Jason Grimshaw were married for a number of years. Tina then went on to welcome a second child, son Beau, with her current partner Adam Crofts.
