The Christmas countdown has well and truly begun in Stacey Solomon's household! The Loose Women presenter often talks about her love of the festive season, and she isn’t doing anything by halves this year. The doting mum chatted to HELLO! Online about the traditions she is passing down to her two sons, Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, and her plans for the big day itself. This year, Stacey is hosting Christmas at her house – and boyfriend Joe Swash will be spending the day with her. "Joe will definitely be there for Christmas day and all my family will come over. Because I am doing panto this year I really want everyone to come to me," she told us. The 27-year-old has also found a way to avoid all the stress of hosting: "I'm going to stay in my pyjamas and make everyone bring a dish so I don’t have to do anything. I am not too proud to ask for help!"

Stacey is also keen to make memories with her two sons during the Christmas season, and along with popular traditions such as leaving a carrot out for Rudolf on Christmas Eve, the family have a few of their own too. The night before Christmas, Stacey lets her two sons open one present from under the tree – and she always knows exactly what it's going to be. "It is always their Christmas pyjamas, and I add something to them so they are a little bit personal for them. I want them to have pyjamas that nobody in the world has! I customise them with things like pipe cleaners and googly eyes. They love them and I tell them that Father Christmas will know exactly where you are now!"

Stacey is also keen for her two sons to still believe in the magic of Christmas for as long as possible. Both boys still believe in Santa, although the TV star is now having to adapt the story slightly as they are getting older. "It's nice that they still believe I want them to stay young and not worry about anything for as long as possible." The kind-hearted mum is aware of how lucky her two sons are, and has started to introduce another tradition – seeing them giving back to others by volunteering. "I really want them to appreciate the value of things and to open their eyes to see what things are like for other people," she said.
