Eamonn Holmes is door number 14 on our celebrity advent calendar! The This Morning presenter opened up about how he and his wife Ruth Langsford celebrate Christmas, admitting that he likes to sit back and relax now that his children are all grown up. He explained: "Ruthie is the queen of the Christmas and it involves so much work! I tend to be much more laid back, I went through years of being up, being one of Santa's little helpers through the night and constructing stuff and wishing Santa's helpers hadn't flat packed everything… and children getting up at four a.m. or whatever, but Ruthie is up like a lark and it's all about food for her!"

He continued: "She creates an amazing breakfast with Bucks Fizz, then of course she is preparing an amazing lunch, and then she prepares an amazing tea. She is Mrs Christmas!" The 58-year-old also spoke about his favourite Christmas tunes, before treating us to a little sing song! "I do love a lot of those 1970s Christmas songs, people can say Christmas isn't Christmas without Bing Crosby or whatever, but for me, Christmas is not Christmas without Slade and Wizzard… When it gets to Christmas, people can't tell the difference between me and Cliff! You've never seen us together in the same room!" Singing a few lines from Cliff Richard's Christmas time Mistletoe and Wine, he joked: "See what I mean? Happy Christmas!"

Eamonn and Ruth were already celebrating Christmas in early December, when Eamonn threw a surprise party for Ruth (despite it being on his birthday). Sharing a snap of himself in a Santa hat with Ruth leaning on him, he wrote: "You may have read the story today. Basically my #birthday but Ruth's surprise #party. She hadn't a clue and as you can see ended up 'emotional'."
