Seth will host the show

Seth has spoken about his plans to address the controversy surrounding sexual harassment in the entertainment industry following the revelations about prominent Hollywood figures including Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey. He told People magazine: "With the monologue, as far as talking about anything in the news right now, it seems like this year more than ever Hollywood has its own internal politics that obviously deserve to be talked about. Going into it our focus is far more on the worlds that make these films and less on anything that's happening in Washington." He also hinted he would discuss these topics in a promo for the ceremony, where he said: "We've got a lot to talk about."

These include Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant and Game of Thrones stars, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke. People were quick to discuss Seth's role in the show, with one writing: "First the Golden Globes is being hosted by Seth Meyers, and then they have amazing nominations like Will & Grace & Stranger things (to name a few) plus SO MANY amazing actors & actresses," while another added: "I'm sure @sethmeyers will do a good job at hosting @goldenglobes, but this year would be better with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. #GoldenGlobes."
