Allison Williams turns 30
It's sure to be a particularly memorable birthday for Allison Williams, who turns 30 today! The Girls actress hasn't revealed how she will be celebrating, but it's likely she'll be joined by her nearest and dearest, including husband Ricky Van Veen, to welcome her thirties in style. Allison has had a career-defining year, having been celebrated for her role in the Oscar-winning horror film Get Out. It also marked the end of her TV show Girls, in which she had her breakout role as Marnie. However, 2018 is looking equally exciting, as Allison has a new role in Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events, and is also filming for the TV mini-series Patrick Melrose, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Holliday Grainger.

Happy birthday to Al Green, who turns 72 today. Although he is still remembered as one of the greatest soul musicians of all time, Al now tends to stay out of the spotlight and serves as a preacher and member of the Prince Hall Masons close to his home in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2017, Al celebrated the 45th anniversary of his first number one single and most famous song, Let's Stay Together, which has been covered by the likes of Robin Thicke, Maroon 5 and Katy Perry among others in recent years.
