According to Forbes, Johnny Depp is believed to have a net worth of around $48 million, although other outlets have suggested his fortune may be higher, even over the $100 million range.
Although, considering how some of the A-lister's most successful films have made more than $3.4 billion in America and $8.7 billion worldwide, his wealth is not necessarily equal to his huge worth in the film industry.
Back in 2017, Johnny launched a lawsuit against his former business manager, Los Angeles' The Management Group, and alleged that he was the victim of "gross mismanagement" which had cost him "tens of millions of dollars". During the trial, it was revealed that between 2003 and 2016, the star earned around $650 million.

Although, as the trial also revealed when The Management Group countersued the actor, the star's expensive lifestyle often significantly decreased his earnings.
How much money does Johnny Depp make in a year?
Due to his profession as an actor, the Alice in Wonderland star's yearly earnings vary depending on how much work he does. Per film, it is estimated that the actor makes around $20 million, and in some years the star is known to have made as much as $100 million from his work on several films.

However, as previously mentioned, the 60-year-old also appears to have some significant financial expenses. During his lawsuit against The Management Group, it was revealed the star was once spending around $2 million per month on his lifestyle which included paying wages for a 40-person-strong team, private jet flights, and significant spending on expensive wine.
But the star may also make some money from some of his interests. For example, in 2007 he bought his then girlfriend Vanessa Paradis a vineyard in France. In 2004 the actor set up a production company, Infinitum Nihil, with his sister Christi Dembrowski. It has so far co-produced several of the actor's films, such as The Lone Ranger and Dark Shadows, plus other projects including 2011's Hugo.

In LA alone, Johnny owns five neighboring homes worth $19 million in the Hollywood Hills, which he has made into his own private compound.

In the past, Johnny bought a $950,000 horse farm in his home state of Kentucky in 1995, before selling it for $1 million just over five years later. However, the actor had a change of heart and bought it again for $2 million in 2005 as a gift for his mother, who lived there until her death in 2016.
Recently, the star has been spending a lot of time in the UK, residing in his country house in Somerset. The much talked-about star, who has laid low after his headline-making court case against his former spouse Amber Heard, gave an interview to Somerset Life revealing what it was which attracted him to the area.
