The England team played in a very tense World Cup clash against Colombia on Tuesday night, finally making it through to the quarter-finals after a nail-biting penalty shoot-out. And for Megan Davison, the girlfriend of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, it was especially nerve-wracking as she watched from the stands! The 22-year-old took to Instagram after the match with some "before and after" photos – with one showing her worried expression, and another showing her elation as England scored the winning penalty. Jordan also made a vital save during the shoot-out, so football fans were quick to write their admiration on the post.

"I was so nervous @megan_davison_ how amazing was he though! Enjoy every moment! See you at Goodison soon! @jpickford1 you are the man!!" one replied, while another said: "Your boy's a soldier.. unbelievable save... made us English cry tears of joy!"

Earlier that day, Megan had also posted a sweet photo of herself and fellow WAGS Rebecca Vardy (the wife of Jamie Vardy), Charlotte Trippier (the wife of Kieran Trippier) and Fern Hawkins (the girlfriend of Harry Maguire), all in matching outfits of jeans and England football shirts as they set off to support their partners at the match. "ENG V COL," she simply captioned the snap.
Megan and Jordan are childhood sweethearts, and university graduate Megan is often seen supporting her boyfriend – even making the move from Sunderland to Liverpool when he signed to play for Everton in 2017. The goalkeeper is equally as supportive to his girlfriend, making a sweet tribute to her late grandfather when he made his debut for Sunderland in 2016 by wearing gloves that carried Megan's grandad's name and birthday. "So proud of Jordan making his debut for Sunderland yesterday. My Grandad would've loved to have seen the day so Jordan made sure he did!" she said at the time.
