Catherine Zeta-Jones sparked a bit of friendly rivalry between her fans on social media on Tuesday ahead of the England vs Colombia game. The Welsh actress had revealed that she was supporting England in the World Cup, and shared a photo of Harry Kane on the pitch, writing next to it: "Supporting England today. Counting on my favourite player Mr Kane!! World cup fever for me!" "You must be the only Welsh person supporting England. This would never happen in rugby," one fan joked, while another said: "Sadly Wales aren’t in the World Cup," to which the Chicago actress replied: "I know! But I have to support someone!" Other followers, however, were delighted by Catherine's decision. "I'm Welsh and I'll be supporting England too," one said, while another added: "Doing the right choice Catherine, come on England!"

It wasn’t just Catherine who was getting into the World Cup spirit on Tuesday night, which saw England beat Colombia during a dramatic penalty shoot-out, meaning that they will now face Sweden in the quarter-final on Saturday. Celebrities including Robbie Williams and Peter Andre shared their delight at the win on social media. Robbie's wife Ayda Field posted a video of the Angels singer cheering as he watched it from his home in LA, while Peter posted a video of his son Junior, 12, dancing in front of the TV. The doting dad had shared a sweet photo earlier in the day of Junior teaching his one-year-old brother Theo about football. "Junior getting Theo ready for the England game," Peter captioned the post.

Wow .. ComeOnEngland," he captioned the photo.
