Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, has spoken about their relationship for the very first time. The British actor, who is thought to be the subject of several songs on the star's latest album, Reputation, confirmed their relationship during an interview with Vogue, and acknowledged the huge fan interest in their relationship.
Joe and Taylor keep their relationship private
He said: "I'm aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people… but I really prefer to talk about work." The pair began dating secretly in 2017, and are rarely seen together in public, but Taylor has hinted about their relationship through her songs, while one revealed that the star had confirmed the song Gorgeous is based on Joe. The post, which was liked by the Blank Space singer, read: "Basically Taylor made us all promise that if anyone made any accusations of who this song is about, we tell them it is 100 percent about her angel boyfriend of one year. This isn't a secret. She wanted us to tell people."

Taylor has kept her relationship with Joe off the grind after two very public relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. Following her split from the Thor actor in late 2016, Tom spoke about their romance to GQ, explaining why they were photographed in public so often together. He said: "A relationship exists between two people. We will always know what it was. The narratives that are out there altogether have been extrapolated from pictures that were taken without consent or permission, with no context. Nobody had the context for that story. And I'm still trying to work out a way of having a personal life and protecting it, but also without hiding… She's incredible... a relationship always takes work. A relationship in the limelight takes work... So we decided to go out for dinner, we decided to travel."
