You will never guess what Holly Willoughby, Emma Willis, Tess Daly and Arnold Schwarzenegger all have in common... They were all Argos models! That's right, before they hit the big time, these very famous faces were gracing the pages of the renowned catalogue. Some of the photographs found date back to nearly 40 years ago, long before the celebrities were the big household names they are now.
Before Holly was presenting to millions on This Morning, she was modelling underwear for Argos. In old photos which have now resurfaced, the blonde bombshell's locks are noticeably darker, but the presenter's smile hasn't changed one bit. The pictures, taken in the early 00's, include a super sultry black and white shot and show Holly sporting two lace bras. The daytime TV presenter would have been in her early twenties at the time, and we think she looks fab!
Emma Willis posed for Argos when she was younger
Queen of primetime TV Emma Willis also made an appearance in the catalogue, featuring in glamorous lingerie shots. The photos show her now short locks were once long and windswept as she posed for famous lingerie brand Gossard. Emma, who is now 42, would have been in her early twenties at the time of the campaign, which advertised the Gossard Ultrabra.
Another famous TV presenter also got her big break through modelling, Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly! The famous host continues to star in campaigns today for big brands like Pandora and Special K, but she started out in the pages of Argos, too. Tess appeared in Argos Additions catalogues in the early 00s, where she posed in a variety of sweet looks. The 49-year-old would have been in her early 30's at the time, and it looks like she hasn't aged a day since.
Tess Daly was quite the model too
And the list of high-profile celebrities doesn't stop there; Spice Girl Emma Bunton and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon also made appearances. Lisa appeared several times in the Argos Additions catalogue in the late 90s and early 00s, wearing an eye-catching python print jacket as well as a vibrant hot-pink version. But the best photo has to be of Baby Spice, as an actual baby! Years before she was part of one of the world's biggest girl bands, four-year old Emma Bunton appeared in the 1980 catalogue advertising a Slumberdown King Size Quilt.
