Canadian music icon David Foster jetted to Lanai, Hawaii with his fiancée, Katharine McPhee, for some fun in the sun - and the loved-up couple was definitely living their best lives! From snorkelling to cruising in their vintage blue jeep, the producer, 69, and the singer, 34, made the most of their family vacation and shared all the highlights on Instagram.

"island life," David captioned this photo, alongside music note and heart emojis. The couple, who have known each other since he was a guest mentor on American Idol in 2006, posed in their finest Hawaiian fare. David popped the question in July 2018 while the pair was on a European vacation.

The witty star, who made her Broadway debut in Waitress last year, referenced a Kris Jenner meme in her caption for this photo taken by her mom, Peisha Mcphee. "If you listen closely, you can actually hear my mom whispering “you’re doing amazing sweetie!”"

Katharine wished fans a Merry Christmas in Hawaiian, saying "mele kalikimaka is hawaii’s way..." alongside this stunning yellow bikini shot in a photo posted a few days after the holiday. Her future stepdaughter, 36-year-old Erin Foster, joked in the comments, "Grandma!!!! Wtf I don’t want to be next to you at the pool."

According to People, the couple and family members that included his daughters Erin and Sara Foster and her mother Peisha and sister Adriana stayed at the luxe Four Seasons resort in Lanai.

The actress gave the peace sign as she enjoyed some down time before launching into a busy year that will see her reprise her role in Waitress on London's West End and tie the knot with her dashing Canadian fiance.

Katharine's proud mom, Peisha, posted two videos of the singer performing during the hotel's new year festivities, clad in a sexy yellow dress with a thigh-high slit. "2019 !! Thats how to do it!!" she captioned one.

"Heaven in Lanai with my girls !" Peisha captioned a photo of the trio. Katharine's sister Adriana and mom are both voice coaches who own McPhee Int. Vocal Studios, and Peisha also acts as a coach for Disney and American Idol.
