The cast of Suits signed off for the final time on Sept. 25, and as part of thefinale, they paid homage to the only missing cast member from the episode: the Duchess Meghan.
The former actress left the show at the end ofSeason 7 to move to London to be with her now-husband, Prince Harry.
In a montage that paid homage to the entirenine-season series, clips of the 38-year-old playing Rachel Zane were featured, including the moment her character wed her longtime love Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams).
The finale also made reference to Meghan’shusband right before Louis Litt (RickHoffman) walked down the aisle to marry his longtime love, Sheila.
“Wait a second, are you wearing a morningcoat?” Harvey Specter (GabrielMacht) asks Louis in the scene.
“Of course I’m wearing a morningcoat,” Louis replies. "Frankly, I’m disappointed you’re not.”
Harvey then responds, “Louis, you’re notthe prince of England.”
The nods to Meghan weren’t the only ones theshow made during its final season.
In the fifth episode, Meghan’s onscreenhusband Mike makes a cameo where he openly jokes about his wife’s new life.
When asked about how Rachel is doing, he slylyreplies, “Good. In fact, if I told you how good you probably wouldn't believeme.”
The joke was later shared to social media bySuits’ Twitter account. “Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well” they wrote, with a GIF of the moment.
It’s not known if Meghan PVRd the finaleof the show while she’s on tour in Africa, but she has made it known that shemisses the show and acting.
While on tour of Ireland in 2018, a fan said, “I’m a fan of Suits and I saidto her that I miss it and she replied, ‘So do I.’”
Meghan left the show, but that hasn’t stoppedher from keeping in touch with her former co-stars, many of whom were invitedto her wedding. Patrick, Gina Torres, Gabriel, Sarah Rafferty and Rickwere among those who flew to the UK for the Duke and Duchess’s nuptials.
