The youngest child of the three Middleton siblings, James was born in 1987 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, UK. Despite being five years younger than sister Kate, he soon became very protective of his sibling as her relationship with Prince William became public knowledge - intercepting any media she may have been included in as it arrived at their family home.
His fierce love for both his sisters is evident and he is regularly spotted accompanying Pippa to Wimbledon and other events. He has also used his public platform to speak out about mental health issues - opening up honestly about his own struggles and how his pet dog Ella's support has been an integral part of his recovery.
He is now again making headlines for happier reasons - his recent engagement to French-born Alizee Thevenet.
