Match of the Day 2 presenter Mark Chapman has been left devastated after the death of his wife Sara at the age of 44 on 3 June. An official cause of death has not been released, but good friend Dan Walker explained that she had been battling cancer when paying tribute to her on Twitter.
"When Chappers found out that my dad was diagnosed with cancer last year, he was so kind and thoughtful. He was also honest about the effects of cancer on his wife. His words and advice were incredibly helpful. Sending all my love to Mark and his young family," the sports presenter wrote.
Mark and Sara married in 2000 and had three children together
Many of Mark's friends rushed to pay tribute to Sara, with former Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas writing: "Thoughts very much with @markchapman and his kids tonight. Life has dealt them a very tough blow."

Gary Lineker described the news as "utterly heartbreaking". "Oh no. How utterly heartbreaking. Thoughts are with poor Chappers and his family," he said.
