Jennifer Lopez and her family had an eventful start to their Fourth of July weekend! On Friday, Alex Rodriguez took to Instagram to share a sweet video of them boarding a private plane, but not everyone was as enthusiastic about travelling. In the footage, A-Rod was seen carrying their pet dog Lady up the steps of the aircraft as she was a little too afraid to do it on her own. J-Lo and Emme both featured in the clip as they watched on smiling. As ever, Jennifer dressed in a stylish Chanel tweed jacket teamed with knee-high boots, oversized sunglasses and hoop earrings. Emme, meanwhile, wore patterned leggings and a grey hoodie.

In the caption of the video, Alex wrote: "One of our passengers was a lil afraid to fly." Fans adored the cute video, with one writing: "Aww this is so cute omg," while another wrote: "Such a lucky dog, looks like he's looked after and cared for." A third added: "Aww she's so cute, hope you fly safely."

Jennifer and Alex looked to have travelled to their home in Long Island, New York, for Independence Day, as the sports star shared another video the following day showing them playing baseball in the garden. The couple were joined by their family, including J-Lo's mum Guadalupe, who could be seen running around the yard in the footage.

J-Lo and Alex have been spending the majority of the lockdown at their home in Miami. While it has been nice for the family to spend extra time together during lockdown, the pandemic has stopped Jennifer and Alex from tying the knot. The celebrity couple got engaged in March 2019 and had big plans for their wedding day.
J-Lo opened up about the situation during an appearance on the Today Show in May, and said they aren’t currently trying to re-plan their nuptials, as "nobody knows" what is going to happen with COVID-19. "You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out…I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans but I'm also like, you know what, god has a bigger plan, so we just have to wait and see."
