Gemma Atkinson shared her pain after she took baby Mia for her annual routine injections on Monday. The outing comes just two days after the doting mum and her boyfriend Gorka Marquez toasted their daughter's first birthday.

Sharing a sweet picture of her little girl sat in her pushchair following the appointment, Gemma wrote: "Hands up who had their age one injections today! (How awful are they for them AND us by the way.)"

She then added a short video clip walking through a park with their family dogs, Norman and Ollie. "Walk with my bros cheered me up after mum," added Gemma.

Last year, when little Mia went for her first round of injections just a month after she was born, the radio presenter confessed she wasn't sure how she felt about them. "I've had a note from the doctors to say that Mia is due her injections next week, but it's on the weekday so Gorka's going to be in London," she told her followers. "I've had to ask my mum to come with me, because I can't sit there while someone inflicts pain on her."
"You've got to be cruel to be kind, though, and I've got to sort myself out and stop being such a wet about it, do you know what I mean? It's injections," she added.

"She's going to have them all through her life. She's got to have them, but it's going to really hurt her. And apparently it can make people quite sick afterward. I don't know if that’s true or not. Not sick as in 'Oh my god, they're really poorly', but just a bit unsettled and off."
Despite the routine injections, both Gemma and Gorka have taken to parenting like a duck to water. The couple, who met on Strictly back in 2017, regularly share sweet updates about their family life – often sharing several cute photos and videos of baby Mia.
