Billie Eilish has long been a fan of fellow performer Justin Bieber. A huge fan. And it was recently revealed on an episode of her and her father Patrick O'Connell's Apple Music show, me & dad radio, that her parents considered getting her therapy because of her "pain" in the situation.

The singer-songwriter's mom, Maggie Baird, explained how emotional Billie became, particularly when listening to the Canadian singer's track "As Long As You Love Me" in 2012.

"Driving to the dance studio with Billie playing this song, sobbing, and then driving back and sobbing. And the video, and Billie talking about it, and being excited it was coming out, and just crying and crying.

"I just want to say we did consider taking you to therapy for how incredibly…you were in so much pain over Justin Bieber."

"It was so intense, it caused you so much pain," she explained.

The 18-year-old was surprised by her mom's admission, but agreed that the song did make her cry.

“I would watch the music video for this song and just sob,” Billie added.

The GRAMMY winner continued that her strong emotions weren't necessarily because of the song.

“There was a period where I cried every single day of my life when I was like 13, 14, 15,” she revealed.

"Every single day I cried. And 17, 18, I cried barely at all.

"I’m proud to say I barely cry anymore and it's one thing I’ve overcome," the "Bad Guy" singer elaborated. "This is a big deal. Not that it’s wrong to cry, but it’s a good thing I feel happier in my life and I don’t want to cry anymore."

Billie has always been candid about her mental health and has discussed body dysmorphia, panic attacks and depression.

Additionally, the American performer has been open about being a Belieber, the nickname given to Justin's fans. In fact she even made an appearance in the finale of his 2020 documentary Seasons.

"Anything that he makes at all, I'm excited about," Billie said during the interview.
