Although Motsi made her debut on Strictly last autumn in London, her family life in Germany continued, with the judge travelling between her home and the UK every week, so that her daughter's life wouldn’t be disrupted.

The star has previously opened up about her family in an interview with HELLO! just ahead of Christmas Day. "It is more magical with my daughter, and this is the first Christmas that she can properly take it in," she shared at the time. "She'll be able to play with her cousins and be more aware of what's going on."

Motsi also revealed that she enjoys nothing more than dancing with her husband. "We always dance together at home," she said. "My favourite part of Christmas is being together as a family." The lovebirds met following the breakdown of Motsi's 11-year marriage to her first husband Timo Kulczak. The couple won the German Latin American title in 2013, before retiring after a final Rumba on Germany's version of Strictly.
