Deacon Phillippe appears to be following his parents, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, with a career in the entertainment business. But instead of focusing on acting, the 16-year-old is showcasing his musical talent and will release his debut single on July 10.

The teenager shared the exciting news about his upcoming song, entitled "Long Run," on his Instagram. The track features Scottish singer/songwriter Nina Nesbitt. Deacon posted a photo of the single's cover, which depicts him looking off camera in a black-and-white photo. He's wearing a black sweater and necklace.

Proud parents Reese and Ryan praised their talented son in the comments.

"It’s SOOOOO good !!" the Legally Blonde actress wrote.

Ryan responded simply with a fire emoji.

In the previous post, Deacon had shared what appears to be a behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot.

"Just the beginning," he captioned it.

On July 8, Deacon uploaded a snippet of the catchy song on Instagram.
