There are few couples who put others before themselves like the Clooneys. George has been a vocal advocate about the atrocities in Darfur while Amal is one of the world's top human rights lawyers.
The pair, who live in Berkshire, recently gave money to their local theatre in Sonning which has been struggling during the pandemic, while they also donated £76,000 to local relief efforts following the tragic explosion in Beirut in August.
Back in April, George and Amal gave away over £800,000 to several charities helping those who'd been hard hit, including the NHS, Lebanese food banks and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Fund.
Zoe Abrams, Executive Director of Communications and Engagement for the Red Cross, told HELLO!: "George and Amal Clooney are well known for their philanthropy, and rightly so. Earlier this year their kindness helped the Lebanese Red Cross support the people of Beirut when they needed it most.
"We are extremely grateful to all our celebrity supporters for donating their time and money to enable us to continue our vital work, reaching people in crisis whomever and wherever they are, in the UK and overseas."
George and Amal's Clooney Foundation for Justice is also incredibly active, giving a million dollars to the Southern Poverty Law Center to fight inequality after the US protests in Charlottesville.
George and Amal Clooney with Baria Alamuddin
Baria Alamuddin - journalist, broadcaster and Amal's mother - told HELLO!: "I am immensely proud of all Amal and George's charitable work, in too many fields to do justice to here. Particularly deserving of mention is George's decades of activism on behalf of Sudanese people; along with Amal's pro bono activities on behalf of journalists around the world.
"Amal's work alongside Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad, in support of Iraqi victims of genocide, atrocities and sexual violence, was also an issue I feel especially passionately about.
"The Clooney Foundation for Justice is a hugely important initiative for defending victims of injustice and ensuring that there are genuine consequences for those corrupt and evil individuals who exploit their power to violate the human rights of innocent citizens. The work this Foundation has done in support of Syrian refugees is particularly commendable.
"I passionately believe that all acts of human kindness serve to make this world a less severe and forbidding place; and in the current global climate of intolerance, xenophobia and demonization we are in desperate need of every drop of kindness we can get."
