Hoda Kotb shared the sweetest photo to wish BFF and fellow Today Show star Savannah Guthrie a happy birthday – and it certainly had fans talking! The snap of the Today with Hoda & Jenna host standing alongside 49-year-old Savannah as she cuddled a tiny baby sparked loads of comments, including speculation that the TV star had some more news to share.

The sweet photo was simply captioned, “#family. Happy bday @savannahguthrie”, but some of Hoda’s followers were reading a bit more into the pic!

"Savannah, who does that baby belong to?" read one comment from one of Hoda’s 1.7million followers, while another wrote, “Do you have a happy announcement?” But other followers were quick to point out that the photo appeared to be an older pic of one of Hoda’s children with fiancé Joel Shiffman, Haley, three, and one-year-old Hope.

While some thought Hoda might have new baby news, commenters quickly pointed out that the photo was a previously unseen (and adorable!) older pic of one of the TV host's daughters
One follower even got specific about the date of the photo, noting: “This photo is from 2017! Savannah was teaching Hoda how to swaddle.” Broadcast journalist and lawyer Savannah is also a mother-of-two, sharing daughter Vale, six, and Charles, four, with husband Michael Feldman.
Still, it wouldnt be a surprise to get some baby news in the future. In October, Hoda revealed that she and Joel are hoping to adopt a third child. "We wondered, you know, would our family be better with another child?" she told Entertainment Tonight. "Do we have enough love, do we have enough time, you know, will we be a better family unit? And the answer to all those questions seems to be 'Yes, we would be.'"

In the meatime, Hoda's heartwarming post came days after celebrating what she had planned as a "very intimate" Christmas. In the run-up to the holidays, the TV personality revealed that she wouldn't be having a big family occasion because of coronavirus and instead would be spending the day with just her fiancé and children.
"We'll do a Christmas morning on Zoom," she said in a Today Show Twitter video. "I'm excited that we do get to sit with each other, even though it's virtually, and I just realized how fortunate we should realise we are to have that."
