Remember at the beginning of the pandemic when you pulled out new recipes to try, whipped up new dishes, and then, well, let that go? Jennifer Garner is still at it and giving us some sunny inspiration to get back to it in 2021.
The Peppermint star made her friends and fans swoon when she shared an impressive recipe on Instagram that she baked for her children - an adorable and tasty-looking Sun Bread. “Good morning! So far, my day is as sunny as this bread, I hope the same for you,” she captioned the snap, which showed fresh-baked bread in the shape of a sun on a plate.

Jennifer went on to say that the bread was “inspired by one of my favorite making-the-most-of-a-rainy-day kids’ books, Sun Bread by Elisa Kleven.” The recipe is in the book, which we tracked down below on Amazon.

This is just the latest time the actress has shown off her baking skills. In November, Jennifer unveiled a delicious looking pan of cinnamon rolls right before she frosted them. “Take that, Zoom school,” she captioned the Instagram photo.

And her friends and fans once again sang her praises (can you blame them? Look at that dish). “Heaven,” Octavia Spencer wrote. Judy Greer added, “I’m on my way over. DANG! I had an apple for breakfast.”

Jennifer even caught the attention of Barefoot Contessa star Ina Garten who wrote, “I want that!!! Looks amazing.” The thesp responded saying, “I can picture it in Barefoot at Home! I would put my money on it being there. And I think the first time I posted it I made bread men instead of cinnamon rolls, but that is the actual recipe. Very Ina in its easy perfection and happy family.”
Maybe we’ll just wait for our invite post-pandemic instead.
