Linda Robson has opened up about the horrific moment she was almost mugged during a recent shopping spree over the Christmas period.
Appearing on Monday's Loose Women, the 62-year-old actress recalled the incident with the panel when she explained a thief "tried to get her purse out of her backpack".

The star, who was at her local market with her daughter and grandchild at the time, confessed she was left "shaken up". She told viewers: "I'd been down our local market. My son was doing a video for his new song and we all went down to watch him. Keeping our distance obviously.

"After that I went to get some shopping. I was carrying two heavy bags of shopping and I had a backpack on me."
She then added: "All of a sudden I felt someone was tugging it." Linda went into details, revealing how she was nearly "pulled over" by the force of the person doing the tugging.
"It nearly pulled me over," she explained. "It was caught around my ear as well so my ear was really hurting."

Although Linda wasn't quite aware of the situation until two couples started shouting. "He ran off and he'd tried to get my purse out of my backpack," she added. "I was shaken up. Lauren (Linda's daughter) and Lila (her granddaughter) were there so Lila was really upset.
"She said, 'Nanny's almost got mugged.' They then went home and told Mark (Linda's husband) and Louis (her son) and everyone. They then went running up the market to see if they could find the person. My nerves were gone because I was like 'Oh my god I hope they don't find them.' They never found him and I was ok luckily."
