Sharon Osbourne is a doting mum to three children, and while Jack and Kelly Osbourne are in the public eye, her oldest daughter Aimee is rarely seen.

Aimee has decided to stay out of the spotlight, and while her famous parents respect her privacy, Sharon has opened up about her firstborn in the past.

During a previous episode of The Talk, the former X Factor judge said: "I know my eldest girl, Aimee, left home at 16 and she couldn't live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane.

"She felt, too, that she didn't want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea, it was appalling to her."

She added: "And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did."

However, while Aimee wanted to remain out of the public as a teenager, she has since enjoyed a career in the entertainment industry, appearing on TV shows including MTV's adaptation of Wuthering Heights in 2003.

She has also found a name for herself as an accomplished musician. Aimee has since spoken out about her family's reality show while appearing on Q104.3 New York in August.

She said: "It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me and who I am, I just knew it was something that I wouldn't have been able to consider realistically.

"For me personally, for who I am, as far as morally, and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn't really line up with what I saw my future as."

Aimee rarely appears on her mum and dad's Instagram accounts, but in December after Sharon's frightening coronavirus battle, the doting mum posted a sweet throwback picture of her with her three children when they were little.

The black-and-white snapshot saw the TV presenter running in a field with a young Kelly, Jack and Aimee. In the caption, she wrote: "Missing these three."

While Sharon - who returned to The Talk on Monday - is now feeling a lot better, she has still got lasting symptoms from the disease.

"I'm feeling really fine now, expect that I'm still really tired. I nod off at ridiculous times of the day. I'm good, you know I went through all the symptoms - headache, eyeache, bodyache, dizziness, sickness, all of it," she explained of her own battle with the disease which she was diagnosed with last month.

"I still can't smell very much or taste very much," Sharon added.

Still, the host says she is very grateful: "There are people who have it much worse than I got it. I think I came out very lucky. I am very lucky."
