Kate Beckinsale had one major reason to celebrate on Sunday.
The Underworld actress took to Instagram to share a sweet throwback photo in honour of her daughter Lily's 22nd birthday.

The black-and-white picture shows 47-year-old Kate looking incredibly youthful as she stands with baby Lily in her arms.
She wrote: "Well 22 you sly dog. Happy birthday @lily_sheen the best person ever invented. Lucky lucky me (even after that volcanic poo you did in Tootsies shortly before this photo was taken)."

Kate's fans were quick to react to the post, with a number sharing happy birthday messages for Lily. A large number also commented on Kate's appearance, with one telling the star: "You have not changed. You are so beautiful." A second added: "My god you are an absolute baby here!"
Kate and Michael Sheen dated from 1995 until 2003
Kate shares her only child with Welsh actor, Michael Sheen. The couple dated from 1995 until 2003, welcoming Lily in London in 1999, and have remained very good friends since the end of their romance.
Kate previously told the Telegraph: "We're very lucky. I spent nearly ten years of my life with Michael. I don't think I've got horrible taste and I really value the friendship that I have with him, and the fact that he is Lily's dad."

In another interview with ES magazine, she explained: "It’s so normal for us. We split up ages ago. We have been not together far longer than we were ever together. But I really love him and like him and we make each other roar with laughter."
Michael, meanwhile, recently became a father for the second time. The Staged star, 51, and his girlfriend, Anna Lundberg, welcomed a baby girl named Lyra in September 2019.

"She's now 15 months old she's like a force of nature, and literally every ten seconds she's either trying to kill herself or destroy whatever's around her," Michael said of little Lyra during an appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
"You're just constantly trying to stop her from doing too much damage."
