The singer admitted that when she looked back at older pictures she could see the difference, and the mom-of-two acknowledged that although it "sounds shallow as hell" she knew fans would say "damn" if she posted the "videos of how much bigger I was in comparison to now".

"I actually had to facetune some of these pics to make me look bigger for a change… I guess it’s fall! Not sure why but I have a lot of videos and pics from the summer I never used because well I’m bigger," she wrote.

"I know that sounds shallow as hell but if I get the balls to show you videos of how much bigger I was in comparison to now you’ll say damn too!"

Fans were quick to share their love for the star though, and support her regardless.

Britney shared how happy the color peach made her

"You look great Britney, no matter how big or small you are. You are so resilient," commented one fan as another shared: "Our bodies are allowed to change no matter what the patriarchy says."

In a later video, the 39-year-old joked that "for the love of God I finally see some definition in my abs" as she danced in circles around her home.

"It’s nice to finally see some results!!!!" she added.

This summer has seen Britney force the suspension of her longtime conservatorship which was overseen by her estranged father Jamie Spears.

Britney has performed since she was a young girl

In September, Judge Brenda Penny appointed certified public accountant John Zabel as the temporary conservator of the singer's estate; he was selected by Britney and her attorney.

The conservatorship of Britney’s person remains in place and is managed by Jodi Montgomery.

Britney did not call into the hearing although her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, spoke on her behalf telling the court that the singer "wants [Jamie] out of her life today rather than a lingering and toxic presence".

Jamie was granted control over his daughter's personal and business affairs in a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008. The order was originally granted after the star was put in hospital amid concerns over her mental health.

Britney's father is no longer her conservator

However questions have always been asked about why the 39-year-old remains under such a tight conservatorship, when she still works; the singer has been performing in Vegas for years.

In June, the Toxic singer spoke publicly for the first time about the arrangement, and made a desperate plea with Judge Penny to end the legal agreement.

During the hearing, Britney spoke publicly about her conservatorship, stating that her father controlled her "100,000 per cent" and that she wanted the arrangement to end. "I am traumatised," she said, speaking to the judge virtually.

"I just want my life back."
