"Thank you again @lukebryan I cannot thank you enough for helping me and my kids! It really made our day so much better!"

In the comments the mom-of-two called it a "once in a lifetime" moment, and revealed that Luke had his own sons in the car as they were heading out "hunting yet he was worried about us!"

Courtney shared the video on social media

Luke will next be seen hosting the annual Country Music Association awards in Nashville this November, admitting it's "an honor" to be hosting for the first time; he is also the first person to host on their own in 18 years.

"Being asked to host the CMA Awards was definitely something I put a lot of thought into before answering," shared Luke.

"The pressure that comes along with that can be overwhelming, but knowing I get to help honor and celebrate so many of my friends, I knew it was something I couldn't turn down."

Luke was on his way hunting when he stopped to help

Luke, who is a judge on the hit ABC show with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, shocked fans earlier this year when he was diagnosed with coronavirus, forcing him to miss the first live episode of American Idol.

"I’m sad to say I won’t be a part of tonight’s first live @AmericanIdol show. I tested positive for COVID but I’m doing well and look forward to being back at it soon," he shared at the time.

"Luke will be missed at our first #AmericanIdol LIVE show tonight, but he is resting now in quarantine at home and we're wishing him a speedy recovery," the network said in a statement.

The 55th Annual CMA Awards will be held on Wednesday 10 November 2021
