In 2016, Carrie told Country Living that they were working on building their dream house on the plot of land.

"My husband, Mike, and I are designing our forever home," she explained. "My must-haves are a wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing and rocking chairs."

Carrie revealed her childhood traditions

This Thanksgiving will see Carrie lead the line-up of performers for the 95th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Carrie will perform a song from her Christmas album My Gift which was re-released as a special edition earlier in 2021.

This year is extra special for the annual event too as it returns to its pre-pandemic glory, meaning last year's scaled-back, made-for-TV celebration is firmly in the rear window.

DWTS' Jimmie Allen, Kelly Rowland, Rob Thomas, and Kristin Chenoweth are just some of the big names who will be putting on a show. There will also be performances from Broadway's best shows including SIX, Moulin Rouge! The Musical and Wicked.
