Celine Dion has spoken out to pay tribute to two fellow performers who tragically died with an emotional message on Instagram.
The Canadian singer - who recently had to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to ill health - shared some moving words as she described the sad loss of Renée Martel and Il Divo's Carlos Marin.

Her message read: "Last weekend we sadly lost two incredible artists. On Saturday we lost Renée Martel, Quebec's 'Queen of Country'. Your music and your legacy will live on for generations to come.

"And yesterday we lost Carlos Marin, member of Il Divo. Your talent and passion for performing was beautiful and collaborating with you was truly a privilege.
"My sincerest condolences to those who knew and loved them. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten - Celine x..."

Renée died at the age of 74 following a severe bout of pneumonia unrelated to COVID-19.
The world was rocked by the sad death of Carlos Marin
The news of Carlos's death was announced on Sunday. Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that the 53-year-old had been taken ill during the UK tour and placed into an induced coma at a hospital in Manchester.
His spokesperson has since confirmed to TVE programme Corazón that he had contracted COVID.

A short message posted on the Il Divo Twitter account read: "It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marin, has passed away. He will be missed by his friends, family and fans. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos."
Celine expressed her sadness at the loss of the performers
Simon Cowell also expressed his sadness at the loss of the star whose band was brought together by the music mogul
"I am finding this so difficult to put into words how I feel right now," he said. "I am devastated Carlos Marin has passed away. He loved life.
"He loved performing and always had so much appreciation towards the fans who supported the group from day 1. Rest in peace Carlos. I will miss you."
