Kate Beckinsale wowed fans on Wednesday as she rocked a daring sequin mini-dress for a special Las Vegas night out - and took part in a ceremonial Champagne sabering.

The British actress wore a Peter Dundas sequin black mini paired with Jimmy Choo shoes as she attended the grand opening of Carversteak, the luxury steakhouse at Resorts World Las Vegas. She then joined a member of staff as they participated in the ceremony that saw a champagne bottle opened by a sword; the tradition started in the late 1700's by Napoléon.

Taking place after Katy Perry's residency debut at Resorts World Theater, the event saw Kate joined by Paris Jackson and Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney Mazza Lopez.
The guests enjoyed the champagne as well as delicious cocktails such as Old Fashioneds and Singapore Slings.

They dined on slices of American Wagyu Tomahawk ribeye steak, a bountiful selection of seafood and indulgent desserts.
The new steakhouse includes a 3,500-square-foot terrace overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and features two original experiences including the Whiskey Room and the Knife Shop - which includes a curated display of the world’s finest knives from Japan and the United States including champagne sabers, a tuna sword and other rare selections from master bladesmiths.

Kate recently returned to Los Angeles after a visit to her family in the UK and took a quick trip out to Sin City in the neighboring state of Nevada for the fun night out.
She has been back with her mother Judy and step-father since November after surprising them following a two-year absence.
The actress shared a clip on her Instagram of her standing outside her parents' house in the dark while her friend filmed her, as she revealed that they thought she was still in Los Angeles.

She then rang the doorbell which her step-father answered, initially unable to make out who it was in the dark. However, once he realized it was Kate, he started laughing out of happiness.
Eventually, her mother came out as well and started emotionally laughing out of shock and joy upon seeing her daughter after so long.
