Rebel Wilson shares exciting career news like no other

Rebel Wilson just received the honor of a lifetime to commemorate her career. Even after selling her multi-million dollar waterfront home in Sydney, Australia, the star has been spending time in her native city, and it's certainly treating her well.

The star has a lot to celebrate these days, not only successfully selling her home, but also the release of her exciting new movie, Senior Year, soon to be streaming on Netflix.

Now she's celebrating an honor like no other, as none other than a theater is named after her.

The actress took to Instagram to document the exciting event where the theater, aptly called The Rebel, was revealed. She looked chic as ever in a white suit with red and blue piping.

Opening night was eventful, as it not only unveiled the theater, but it also launched a brand new musical called The Deb, about: "A teenage girl going to her debutante ball in a small country town," and which the honoree described as: "So cute and hilarious." 

She is already looking ahead at all the good that will come from the space, thoughtfully writing in a caption: "I'm so pumped for the next generation of Aussie talents to get their STARt here!"

The incredible unveiling

The Pitch Perfect actress looked happy as can be as she shared videos from the event, writing: "Can't believe I have a theatre named after me! It's fully sick!"

She endearingly expressed her gratitude to the theater company that made it all possible, saying that: "The Australian Theatre for Young People has given so much to me and it's a privilege to give back in this special way."

Rebel celebrates the major honor

Fans were overjoyed to see her receive the well-deserved honor, writing: "How incredible a gift and legacy RW. Looks stunning too… lucky next gen I say," and: "You are a truly amazing Icon for our young creatives. Keep up the fabulous working lady," as well as: "Looking forward to many magical moments to [be] created there!"
